FAMIT was born in 1960 as small local craft producing small metal lathe-turned pieces for the only case watches manufacturing company of the time in Italy.
This is very important as it typifies our company’s characteristic and it still represents the focus of its policy, namely, attention to all smallest details at all levels of its productive cycle.

The co mpany’s business activity developed steadily throughout the years thanks to a constant increase and updating of its productive competence reaching today’s present situation where FAMIT’s 4000 m2 Carbonate site (of which 2000 indoor) avails itself of a fleet of machines comprehending 48 automatic Single-Spindle, Swiss-type, Turret and CNC lathes.

Today FAMIT produces almost 40 million pieces a year divided into hundreds of different typologies in terms of dimension and quantity varying from 500 pieces per lot to more than 1.000.000 pieces per year. FAMIT collaborates with a number of companies in order to carry out certified thermal and galvanic treatments to satisfy the most complex and demanding requests. The raw materials employed embrace the whole realm of removal malleable materials ranging from aluminum and brass alloys to super cutting (AVP), tempered, casehardening (ST 329 – 18 NiCrMo5 – 16 CrnI4 etc) and stainless (AISI 303 – 304 – 316 – 430 etc) steels. Our working system flexibility allows to satisfy all customers’ demands including, if requested, goods packaging through single pieces protection.
